Independent Contractor Status
The Contractor acknowledges that they are an independent contractor and not an employee, partner, or agent of Palmetto Lawn Works. The Contractor is solely responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes, including income, self-employment, and payroll taxes. Palmetto Lawn Works will not withhold or remit any taxes on the Contractor's behalf. The Contractor agrees to provide a completed IRS Form W-9 prior to receiving payment and will receive a Form 1099-NEC for annual reporting if payments exceed $600.
